We cannot stop consumerism altogether, but we can change the way we consume. Mending and reusing reduce environmental impact while providing an economically sustainable alternative.

Consumerism is a habit that organisations capitalise on, the more you buy and consume, the more they can produce and sell to you. This is not only greedy, but also very unhealthy, especially with the urgent state of the climate today.

The behavioural patterns of consumerism are directly related to the climate crisis, while it may seem alarming, the wicked problem doesn't have to be that way.

We began as a group of minds that believe in the importance of planting seeds of education to reap fruits of a healthy climate. Centring our approach around the question of "what can we teach teenagers that responds to the consumerist mind set?" to which an answer that came up is, creating a series of workshops. Teaching genderless skills teens will need in day to day life. Instead of throwing out a faulted sweater, learn to mend it. Instead of trashing a broken device, learn to fix it, and so on.

Our Mission

We Aim to Build Better Habits

The purpose of our workshop series, whether they are about mending clothes, or repairing broken items, is to teach teenagers habits they can carry with them for life. Changing consumerist behaviour one workshop at a time. Slowly creating a cycle of less consumption and more care; leading to mindful purchases and less waste.
